As part of MarshBerry’s Financial Advisory team, Alex Moore focuses on managing sell side transactions, due diligence projects, valuations, and general consulting projects in both the insurance and wealth advisory spaces.
Prior to joining MarshBerry, Alex was an associate at Stout Risius Ross (Stout) in Cleveland, Ohio. At Stout, Alex assisted in their transaction/post-M&A dispute practice. His main responsibilities were working capital, earn-out, and valuation disputes subsequent to the close of a transaction. He also provided consulting services on financial, accounting, and valuation matters on the alleged breaches of representations and warranties, and related insurance claims.
Before his time at Stout, Alex worked at Grant Thornton in their valuation practice where he completed valuations related to tax planning, buy and sell side advisory, litigation matters and financial reporting. He has also assisted on audit reviews of third-party appraisals and completed the Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) Exam.
Alex earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting from Michigan State University. He holds his CPA license and the ABV credential. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and a CFA charter holder, and currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam, in addition to the Series 7, 79 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC, the affiliated FINRA-registered broker-dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC.
