Andy Mathisen brings a unique blend of personal heritage, entrepreneurial spirit, and seasoned expertise to his role as Regional Sales Director at FirstChoice, a MarshBerry Company. Andy’s formative years were spent alongside his father, absorbing the nuts and bolts of building an independent agency from the ground up. This early exposure to the insurance world, fortified by hands-on experience in customer engagement through x-date calls during his teenage summers, laid the foundation for his deep understanding of the industry.
In 2012, Andy officially joined the family agency until its sale in 2019. Next, Andy, alongside his brother, ventured into insurtech with the launch of GloveBox. As the pioneer client experience platform in the independent channel, GloveBox marked a significant leap forward in modernizing customer interactions within the insurance sector. Under Andy’s guidance, the company saw a remarkable five-year growth trajectory, leading to his successful exit in 2023.
Andy majored in Communications and Business at the University of Kansas and avidly supports continuing education and mentorship.
