Matt Slye is a Regional Vice President for FirstChoice, a MarshBerry Company. He is an accomplished insurance professional with 17 years of agency experience. In his role, Matt focuses on helping insurance firms strengthen carrier partnerships, improve operations, and develop and implement strategic plans to reach their long-term goals.
Matt began his insurance agency career as a Producer with Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency, eventually becoming Vice President and a minority partner in the agency. During his time at MidPen, he served in many different roles in the areas of sales management, operations, carrier relationships, commercial production, and agency acquisitions. In 2018, MidPen was acquired by Towne Insurance and Matt joined Towne as a Senior Vice President. During his time at Towne, he was a middle market commercial producer and sales manager.
Matt has served on numerous agency advisory councils for insurance carriers. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS). He has received President’s Club sales awards and was previously named the IIAV Young Agent of the Year.
Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree from UNC-Greensboro. He resides in Williamsburg, VA with his wife and three children.
