MarshBerry Advises Capulus on its Sale to Specialist Risk Group

The transaction was announced on 3 September 2024 and is subject to regulatory clearance by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

MarshBerry International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Capulus. The Capulus team, consisting of 21 colleagues, joins SRG’s MGA pillar, MX Underwriting, further enhancing SRG’s comprehensive Motor Fleet capabilities across its Retail, Wholesale, and Underwriting pillars.

Capulus is a highly regarded specialist in the motor fleet sector, with a strong reputation for delivering bespoke solutions and exceptional service to UK broker partners. This acquisition complements SRG’s existing motor fleet underwriting expertise and now positions MX as a significant player in the UK and Ireland, with specialisms spanning motor fleet, property, and casualty.
