Eric Hallinan
Eric Hallinan joined MarshBerry in 2011, bringing with him significant experience in insurance firm operations, finance, and technology. He is a trusted partner for buyers and sellers who depend on his proficiency at deal negotiation, due diligence, deal execution and integration planning. His involvement covers the full gamut of a merger & acquisition (M&A) transaction, and he works hard to provide clients with a seamless, comprehensive experience.

In addition to his M&A responsibilities, Eric guides clients in the areas of strategic planning, internal perpetuation planning, insurance firm valuations, financial and organizational development, and compensation strategies. Eric is a notable authority for third-party publications, such as S&P Global Market Intelligence and Insurance Journal, and has been a monthly columnist for the Reeves Journal. He is also a contributing author to MarshBerry’s proprietary publications on topics related to internal and external perpetuation and firm operations. Eric is a notable public speaker through his contributions to the annual MarshBerry 360 conference, industry association meetings, insurance carrier meetings, executive leadership forums, and other similar events.
Building from a Strong Foundation
Prior to MarshBerry, Eric was part of an internet start-up and separately led the finance and I.T. functions at Benefit Partners, an independent insurance brokerage firm, where he was also an investment advisor representative with Cambridge Investment Research. Eric currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam in addition to the Series 62, 79 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC, the affiliated FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC. Eric has a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from UCLA, and an MBA from the Drucker School at Claremont Graduate University. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
