Keith Captain is President of FirstChoice, a MarshBerry Company. Under Keith’s leadership, FirstChoice has become one of the fastest growing networks in the country. Recognized as the largest agency partnership by Insurance Journal, FirstChoice has established agency relationships spanning across 39 states and growing. In his role, Keith was instrumental in establishing a smooth integration between MarshBerry’s Platform and First Choice Agents Alliance − a merger that further dominates and redefines the agency partnership and aggregation space.
Keith brings his experience as a leader in the insurance industry where he builds strong and effective relationships with agents, carriers, and strategic partners. He’s committed to helping agencies increase revenue through education, strategic planning, and leveraging technology.
Background
Keith has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry where he has created relationships with both exclusive and independent agents. He spent the first 15 years of his career at Nationwide Insurance where he worked across multiple channels including operations, claims processing, underwriting, and sales and acquisitions. He was also the Assistant Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Donegal Insurance for the Virginia and North Carolina region.
Accomplishments and Projects
Keith is a recognized thought leader in the insurance industry, has created robust partnerships with carrier and technology firms, and is the primary speaker at the FirstChoice annual meeting.
Keith has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Liberty University and holds a Property and Casualty Insurance License. He resides in Richmond, VA, and enjoys coaching soccer and spending time with his wife and sons.
